Where our information comes from
- Official and primary sources. Visa and entry rules, fees, holidays and opening hours are taken from the bodies that set them: government portals, immigration and tourism authorities, airports, transport operators and the venues themselves.
- Linked in the guide. We link to those sources so you can check the current version yourself.
How we fact-check, and what "Last verified" means
Before a guide is published, its rules, prices, dates and schedules are checked against the source they come from. Every article is read by an editor before it is published.
Last verified on a guide is the date its key facts were last re-checked against their sources. It is not the date of a minor edit. Prices and rules in the region can change at short notice, so please confirm anything critical, such as visa requirements or fees, with the official source linked in the guide before you travel.
When we learn that a fact has changed, we update the guide and its Last verified date. Confirmed errors are corrected on the page.
